Eurotunnel Le Shuttle
Eurotunnel Next Gen Booking Experience
Eurotunnel Le Shuttle manages and operates the Channel Tunnel between Britain and France including the vehicle shuttle services, and earns revenue on other trains (DB Schenker freight and Eurostar passenger) through the tunnel. It is listed on both the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Paris and services over 10 million passengers each year.
Eurotunnel Le Shuttle asked Lightmaker to design a next generation travel booking experience that satisfied the following business objectives:
Enhance Eurotunnel’s brand perception by:
o Simplifying the user journey and better information presentation
o Increasing customer engagement
o Increasing satisfaction and referral
o Appealing to both the business and the leisure traveller
o Providing a best in class, industry leading booking experience
An all new booking experience
Lightmaker designed a booking module that is intuitive, innovative and faithful to the Eurotunnel brand ambition.
This could only have been achieved through an extensive discovery phase in which unique insights were gained from both Eurotunnel Le Shuttle stakeholders and their customers throughout Europe. Following rounds of business analysis and close creative collaboration with the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle’s Commercial team, Lightmaker were able to deliver a design for a world-class booking module.
The feedback and rich insight these sessions provided allowed Lightmaker to apply high value design enhancements to the end product that should improve the performance and experience of booking with Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.
“After a lengthy tender process for what is a crucial project to the Eurotunnel group, Lightmaker were awarded the contract to design the new desktop booking module. We are supremely confident that the end product will exceed our expectations and those of our customers”. Harvey Alexander, Marketing Director Eurotunnel Le Shuttle
