Over the last ten years Lightmaker has managed to win prestigious globally recognised awards in several different projects including numerous British Academy BAFTAs, Adobe Max 2004 and 2005, Webby Awards People’s Choice Award 2007, Big Chip Sports Industry, a collection of FWA sites of the day and month, plus many more recognised achievements.
These awards have been achieved through the work carried out for clients by the names of Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, EDS, Electronic Arts, PlayStation, Sony Entertainment, Sony Pictures, NHS Blood and Transfusion, IKEA, JK Rowling, David Beckham, Robbie Williams, BBC, ITV, Orlando Magic and Manchester United.
BAFTA nominated Virtual Townsville for a British Academy Interactive Award within the children’s category in 2004. Virtual Townsville utilized Lightmaker’s Total Media Technology to allow users to become their favourite Townsville character and interact with other characters online in a giant battle of good vs evil.
MORE INFOBAFTA nominated Herman’s Homepage for a British Academy Interactive Award within the children’s category in 2001. Herman’s homepage was a full screen Adobe Flash experience centred on the life of Herman, an animated character who lives inside your computer. The goal of the site was to teach young children about technology and computers.
