The primary business objective was to launch a fully integrated digital platform (web and mobile) that targets the Canadian golf community while focusing on national events, including the Canadian Women’s and Men’s Open Championships. Golf Digest Canada sought to execute this initiative as a standalone site outside of GolfDigest.com platform.
With any publication there comes a good deal of content. Lightmaker’s recent experience and success with building WordPress custom websites lent itself perfectly to this engagement as the project required a quick build with a scalable and robust content management system (CMS). WordPress evolved from a simple blogging platform to a completely customizable CMS. The Golf Digest CA site is focused on article-based content so WordPress proved to be an extremely suitable and viable solution.
In less than 4 weeks from the day contracts were executed, Lightmaker discovered, designed, implemented and deployed a brand new website for Golf Digest Canada in time for the Men’s Canadian Open Championship.
Further expansion of the new Golf Digest Canada platform is coming in the near future.
