Dominion CHIC is a new investment product offered by Dominion Funds, an investment company whose client base is made up exclusively of experienced and professional investors at the top-end of the investment scale. Dominion funds already had a successful investment range, X Funds, and were looking to launch a new luxury fund product called CHIC. The CHIC fund gives Dominion clients the opportunity to invest directly into 61 big luxury sector names covering 2,300 luxury brands such as Chanel, Stella McCartney, and Miu Miu. Dominion CHIC already had a brand identity and global marketing strategy in place and wanted a stylish, slick and exciting microsite to further promote the new fund to the world.

The site has been launched in English, but will also eventually be available in a possible 14 additional languages including Mandarin, Arabic, and French.

Challenges:

  • Due to an existing launch strategy for the actual fund, with launch events taking place in different worldwide locations, Lightmaker had to streamline the whole creative and production process within tight timescales.
  • The client wanted to use cutting-edge technology as well as design and so Lightmaker developed the site using 3D flash for the first time.
  • Lightmaker and the client conducted the whole project from kick-off to launch via e-mail and conference calls. With the client in the middle of a huge launch and with key members being based in Singapore, Dubai, and Switzerland there was not the possibility to have any face to face contact for this project.
