Lightmaker have created an exciting online presence to reflect Hand Crafted, one of DeAgostini’s publication titles. We have also developed this site as a functional and informative marketing tool for DeAgostini.
A video demo on the homepage provides teaser content of the products available to the target audience. On the prompt of entering a specific code into the site, the user is presented with informative content to create their own hand crafted products. The codes also unlock content throughout the site supporting each theme of each issue, and is entered within a designated area within the homepage or at the end of the introductory video. An area promoting all hand crafts and products is also provided on the homepage, directing the user again to subscribe or to register to find out more.
Lightmaker have extensive knowledge in usability and have ensured that site “stickiness” and repeat visitation is maximised. We have created a ‘live forum’ element to the site, focussing users on ‘live’ discussion topics such as specific skills and techniques and providing the means to ‘show and tell’ what they have produced by uploading of images and content.
