Lightmaker joined forces with Yamaha at a key stage in their marketing strategy. At the time of contract Yamaha were seen as specialist audio manufacturers and were looking to aggressively tackle the more general consumer market. The key challenge for Lightmaker was to provide a site which achieved this objective but did not turn-off the existing market. We were able to do this by re-addressing the site architecture and design, providing all key product information at a product level (rather than dispersed around the site) and providing promotional areas for product highlights to push the more general traffic to certain key products. The result of this was a doubling in site traffic over a 12 month period and key metrics showing the positive direct correlation between the users accessing promotional areas of the site and offline sales.
