Lightmaker developed an e-commerce website for Gopak, the UK's market leader in the supply of lightweight aluminium-framed folding and stacking tables, benches and chairs. The e-commerce site offers a wide choice of over 1000 products, including various size and colour customization options. The website caters for both Business to Consumer and Business to Business requirements featuring an extensive bespoke discount system.

The e-commerce system includes a fully comprehensive CMS providing Gopak with 24/7 access to their products, prices and special offers. The order process system is fully integrated into Chairman, Gopak’s existing third-party production management system.

The website includes a number of features to improve the user’s online shopping user experience, including:

• Order Tracking - users can track not only the delivery of their order but also its manufacture and production.
• Call Me Back - a facility which offers users the chance to interact with a member of the Gopak Sales team and can be used as an alternative to online ordering.
• Multi Language support for German, Dutch, French and American markets.

A key client requirement during the Gopak website development was Accessibility. Subsequently, the site was carefully constructed using web standards, to deliver a faster site which is widely accessible to more people and more types of Internet devices.
