Lightmaker partnered with Campfire to create a viral web campaign supporting the launch of Warner Brothers Interactive upcoming video game F.E.A.R. 2. Lightmaker Orlando created a website for the fictional Armacham Technology Corporation that takes the user from a seemingly innocuous homepage and propels them deep into the restricted files of the Armacham Intranet. Once inside, a story coinciding with Campfire’s viral campaign unfolds, giving the user hints to navigating the site and uncovering hidden content.
Campfire’s viral marketing efforts were proven to be a success, as traffic was mainly driven to the site by “professional” bloggers, youtube members, and mysterious posts on popular game sites and messages boards across the US.
