Adobe approached Lightmaker to develop The Living World project because of our world beating experience in Flash applications and websites. We used this experience to form the basis of a new type of Flash-based mobile UI. Using Adobe's Flash Lite 2.0 technology, Lightmaker have produced a "Living World" on the mobile, through great design, animation and data representation.
Two elements of the phone's User Interface (UI) have been designed and built by Lightmaker to convey a travel theme, the main Idle screen and the Dialler.
The application also shows information such as the number of missed calls, unread messages and alarms as a representative animation on-screen, to notify the user of the alert.
Signal strength is represented by the clouds in the sky, with good reception yielding a clear sky and poor signal showing heavy cloud. The clouds themselves move too, and along with birds, shooting stars, planes and fireworks.
Throughout the development Lightmaker worked closely with the Adobe teams in UK, USA and Korea, pushing this flag-ship use of Flash Lite 2.0 to create something which is truly unique in the market at this time.
