Lightmaker’s campaign for Electronic Arts ‘Spore’ has been shortlisted by the judges at NMA within the ‘Entertainment’ category in the industry’s most prominent awards.

Since 1997, the NMA Effectiveness awards have recognised the best work in interactive media, and work that has delivered impressive results and outstanding ROI. The aim of the website was primarily to promote game sales, but was also intended to be a crucial part of the Spore experience. Not only has Spore had over 100 Million creations; sold over three million copies worldwide and was featured as a “hottest Google search” in September 08, but has also had the Creature Creator downloaded over 6 million times!

These awards demonstrate and promote the quality of new media usage in the UK and are unquestionably the most prestigious accolades in the industry. Getting as far as being shortlisted is an achievement in itself.

The winners will be announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on 25th June 2009.
