Sony Europe approached Lightmaker to design and build their annual Flash Christmas game. Lightmaker developed an isometric gaming engine together with a gaggle of lovable 3D characters to create an addictive and enjoyable game. The object is Santa must pull Bravia Bunnies out of the ground and collect a number of presents to load up Rudolph’s sleigh. Presents and prizes are country specific across Europe.
‘Santa Saves Christmas’ was developed in just 3 weeks from proof of concept to final delivery, and uses XML to allow for multi-lingual content which also needed to be integrated with Sony’s bespoke content management system (Divine). Lightmaker also created the assets for banner campaigns to run alongside the game development so that Sony could help to promote the game from a number of different European websites.
