Mass Effect 2 is a huge title for EA and the release next year is eagerly anticipated within the gaming community.
EA asked Lightmaker to produce a site for the game which maximised assets from an existing US development, but to redesign the site to cater to the European market. Each section of the site features a rich background image taken from game assets and the Lightmaker development team have added subtle animated elements to give a feeling of immersion.
The site needed to incorporate several third party elements including Ooyala video embeds and the Phosworks CMS. Both are elements we have extensive experience with through past EA developments. This site is a great example of hitting and exceeding client expectations within a much pressured timeframe. The site is not expansive or massively interactive, as this was not the brief, it is instead usable with the required amount of creativity – all produced ahead of the deadline.
