
It's official, Lightmaker is 10 years old. From its humble beginnings in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK to its present span of global time zones Lightmaker continues to grow and evolve in step with advancing technology.
Lightmaker provides state-of-the-art web design and are worldwide leaders in Adobe Flash development. They also excel in e-commerce solutions, content management, web hosting and infrastructure, delivering the most up-to-date product development, bringing inspiration and innovation to every user.
Lightmaker began in 1997 when agencies were struggling with cross-browser specifications and how they were implemented on various platforms. The company saw the rise of standards based web design that addressed these early problems and the need for Accessibility.
Next, adapting to the fluid and dynamic world of internet technology Lightmaker excelled in integrating web design and development, together with e-commerce and content management. Lightmaker always operates at the forefront of web technologies. Lightmaker began building Rich Media Applications using Flash 5 in 2001 and at this time, also developed some of the first Content Managed Flash websites.
In 2002 Lightmaker developed our Virtual World technology, TMT, well before Second Life was a concept. It is the TotalMediaTechnology that separated Lightmaker from its competitors. Innovation continues alongside Macromedia and Allaire (now Adobe) as well as surging along a development path using Microsoft technologies such as ASP, .Net, and more recently Silverlight.
In more recent years, Lightmaker embraced the mobile industry by first producing integrated web and mobile communities, then moving onto producing award winning Mobile UI designs.
Lightmaker's 10 year ascent is marked by exceeding the expectations of power players like J.K Rowling, Manchester United, Emma Watson, BMW, ESL Music, MTV, Nickelodeon, EA Sports, National Health Services, and Bacardi to name a few.
Lightmaker continues to provide the latest technologies integrated with seasoned consultation and expert application. Lightmaker will continue evaluating its professional contributions to front–runners in all fields of entertainment from film, music, and sports to podcasts and 3-D worlds as well as technology relationships with Adobe, Microsoft, and Akamai among others. Lightmaker is pursuing web and e-commerce solutions for major automotive companies while breaking into the pharmaceutical and medical technology markets.
