The official launch of CareZone, a Secure 3D Virtual World allowing children in care to learn, have fun, chat and save things that are important to them, has taken place in London.
The official launch of CareZone, a Secure 3D Virtual World allowing children in care to learn, have fun, chat and save things that are important to them, has taken place in London.
The launch gave children in care, the press and the care industry a chance to hear from all members of the project's development team. The Launch also created an opportunity for everyone involved to ask questions during a debating session.
After the presentations had taken place attendees could try CareZone out for themselves - the Lightmaker team were on hand to demonstrate the functionality of the site and all the features it provides.
The site has been developed in partnership with the Who Cares? Trust a national charity that aims to improve the lives of children in care. CareZone was developed as the world's first secure online service for these vulnerable and under-resourced children, to help them achieve their potential. CareZone signals a huge technological advance in the services now on offer to children in care.
